Bio & Landscapes

I thought today I'd add a little more info about myself.  As I mentioned the other day I'm a professional musician.  I'm a percussionist and occasional vocalist and play with groups ranging from wind bands and brass bands, through trad jazz and modern dance bands to rock groups.  I love my job.  I play DW & PDP drums, Zildjian & Wuhan cymbals, Premier timpani, LP latin percusion and Premier & Concorde tuned percussion.  I exclusively use David Morbey timpani sticks and Pro-Mark drumsticks.  I've been playing for about 18 years.  I began playing professionally aged 19 around 7 years ago.  Since then I've played all over the UK & Europe, and even travelled as far afield as Canada, Brunei and even the Falklands!  This gives me some great opportunities to take pictures too!

On with the photos!

Well yesterday I posted a couple of portraits so today I thought I'd post a couple of landscapes.  The first is Barrier Lake on the Kananaskis River in Alberta, Canada.  I took this last year during a months working trip to AB.  The second is a time exposure of cascades in Devon taken last Easter.  I can't for the life of me remember where it was, but it'll be somewhere near Combe Martin as that's where I stayed!
